Active Chilled Beam Selection (OKNI)
The Sold Air Active Chilled Beam (OKNI) selection program is an Excel based program that allows one to easily input relevant data such as:
Beam Length Beam Width Cooling Only or Cooling & Heating Primary Air Volume Room Temperature Primary Air Temperature Water Temperature Water DutyBy then selecting a Nozzle Type, the program accurately calculates the Water & Air Capacity and hence indicate the Total Cooling (and/or Heating) achieved by the relevant OKNI beam selected.
An important feature also allows one to input the dimensional data of the module size which will then calculate a DR (Draft Ratio) factor which is valuable information to be considered during chilled beam selections. The DR calculation is based on the turbulent intensity that is caused during the beam operation and is directly linked to comfort levels within the occupied zones.
